Community Engagement, Mobilization, Resilience & Capacity Building (CEMRCB)
A central component of the RIVER Project, strengthening community-level disaster resilience through engagement, capacity-building, and knowledge-sharing.
About CEMRCB
CEMRCB is one of the key and vital components of the RIVER Project. The project engages each of the 500 government primary schools (GPS) across 78 upazilas in 14 districts as a community hub, linking the construction of safe shelters with community participation and capacity-building activities. CEMRCB believes that disaster resilience is not just about infrastructure — it’s about people. Its approach places communities at the center of disaster risk reduction, empowering them to lead their own preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.
Our Vision
To build flood-resilient communities where people are informed, empowered, and prepared to respond to disasters effectively.
