Biswojit Kuman Roy
Deputy Team Leader
Biswojit Kumar Roy is a seasoned professional in disaster management and climate resilience, bringing over 23 years of expertise in program development, strategic leadership, and operational excellence. His areas of specialization include disaster risk reduction, gender-sensitive climate adaptation, humanitarian response, and urban resilience. He has successfully partnered with government agencies, NGOs, and donors such as the World Bank, USAID, FCDO, and the European Union to design and implement multi-sectoral initiatives that emphasize community participation and resilience-building. Throughout his career, Biswojit has held key positions in organizations such as UNDP, Save the Children, CRS, CARE Bangladesh, ACF, Plan International, and World Vision, leading over 17 emergency response programs. His accomplishments include developing innovative, gender-inclusive disaster management plans and climate-resilient livelihood strategies. With a strong academic background in agriculture, disaster management, and business administration, Biswojit is widely recognized for his leadership in policy advocacy, capacity building, and sustainable community empowerment.
Md. Abdus Salam
Monitoring and Evaluation Expert
More than 40 years working experiences in eleven (11) different international development organizations of Bangladesh. The organizations are JICA funded Upazila Governance and Development Project (UGDP), USAID Bagh Project, BCAS, Winrock International, Chemonics International, Practical Action Bangladesh, CARE Bangladesh, Save the Children-USA, World Vision Bangladesh, Rural Development project-9, and RDRS. Specially in M&E, Learning, documentation and reporting. During my extensive M&E career, I have done everything from MEL plan and tools development as well as field-level data collection and quality control, analysis, reporting and documentation. As well as capacity development of partners and organizational staff to leading strategic-level design of complex M&E programs and coordination. I hold a Master’s degree in statistics, has great presentation skills, good English, and as a native to the country, speaks fluent Bangla. As well as delivering M&E solutions as an expert in the field.
MD. Jahid Hossain
Information Management Specialist/Database Expert
Being an expert who has managed and integrated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems with cutting-edge database solutions for more than 25 years. Essential competencies for database administration: Knowledge of ICT and relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL) Infrastructure: An understanding of servers, network systems, and cloud computing. Programming: Proficiency in Laravel, ASP.Net, and Visual Basic Developing tools and dashboards for data visualization and decision-making is part of analysis and reporting. Data security: Putting strong security measures in place to safeguard private data, solving problems: diagnosing and improving database and ICT systems to increase efficiency. Creating database designs in accordance with project specifications. Worked as a Consultant in WHO and also in ADB and WB project.

Web Development/Programmer
Mahmudul Amin Shuvo has 8 years of experience in web development, specializing in ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and React. He has built dynamic, user-friendly websites and applications, focusing on performance, security, and scalability. His expertise also includes database management, API integration, and responsive design.
MD. Rezaur Rahman Maruf
Communication Expert
He has been employed as a communications expert for more than ten years. After completing honors and master’s from the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at the University of Rajshahi, he has done journalism in the leading media of the country, including the National Daily Newspaper and television. In addition to communication, he is also working as a video content creator, documentary maker, and director. Along with his ongoing profession, he is also working as a guest lecturer in various private universities of the country on broadcast journalism.
Md. Abu Bakar Siddique
Education/Skill Development Expert
Md. Abu Bakar Siddique, Education and Skill Development Expert, brings over 36 years of expertise in humanitarian assistance, disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation and economic development with Master’s degrees in Environmental Studies and a diploma in Environmental Science. His rich academic background and experiences enhance our capacity in program design, implementation, and stakeholder coordination. His strategic acumen and passion for resilience make him an invaluable asset to our team.
Md. Islamul Haque Shawon
GIS Expart
Over 12 years of experience in GIS, remote sensing, and geospatial analysis with expertise in risk assessment, environmental planning, and disaster resilience. Skilled in GIS-based MCA, AHP, and machine learning for predictive modeling and hazard mapping. Proficient in Google Earth Engine, ArcGIS, QGIS, Python, and UAV mapping. Holds master’s degrees in Applied Statistics & Data Science and GIS for Environment & Development. Active member of BSGI and MSGED Alumni. Experienced in field surveys, data visualization, and decision support.
Md. Mashiur Rahman
Data Analyst
Mashiur is a Data Analyst with 13+ years of experience in data management, supervision, database development, and quality assurance. Skilled in Excel, SPSS, Python, R, and SQL, he has contributed to major projects in Bangladesh, including MFSP, SRTPPF, and CEIP, as well as remote work with TPVA in Afghanistan. He holds a Master’s in Applied Statistics and Data Science from Jahangirnagar University. His work ensures accurate, data-driven insights that support effective project implementation.
Md. Abdullah
Social Development Expert
With over 37 years of experience, he has worked across international, governmental, and non-governmental organizations, specializing in development projects. Beginning his career with CARE International Bangladesh under the LOTUS irrigation project, he focused on improving landless farmers' livelihoods. He later contributed to governance and capacity-building initiatives through IFFD and IFSP, enhancing local governance structures. His expertise spans strategic planning, program implementation, and leadership. As a Senior Community Mobilizer with BORDA, Germany, he played a key role in participatory development and capacity building. Holding a Master’s degree, he is dedicated to sustainable development and effective governance.

Gender Expert
Iffat Rumman has 10 years of working experience in gender and development field with expertise in capacity building, partnership management, research methodology, advocacy and networking, gender analysis etc. Her academic background in Women and Gender Studies has allowed her to build a comprehensive and refined understanding on gender issues, intersectionality, and social justice. She is deeply committed to advancing gender justice and inclusive practices in all its forms.
Kamal Uddin Ahmed
Disaster Management Expert
As a development professional, he has amassed over three decades of experience, demonstrating a proven track record in disaster management, education in emergencies, climate change adaptation, food security, and livelihood enhancement. His specific expertise extends to project design and implementation of disaster risk management, community engagement and resilience building, conducting workshops and training, extensive collaboration with multicultural UN and international organizations, and strong partnership development with various ministries and related institutions. He has commendable experience working in diverse contexts to enhance cross-sectoral coordination among stakeholders to achieve sustainable development outcomes, including urban and rural areas, floodplain areas, coastal areas, harbor areas, and areas of Rohingya influx with funds from major donors such as USAID, UNDP, SIDA, JICA, FCDO, the World Bank, and ADB. He completed his Masters in Education Management from the Institute of Education and Research, University of Dhaka.

Mohammad Mahdy Hasan is a development professional with expertise in community engagement, disaster risk reduction, and social governance. He has extensive experience working on nationally significant projects, where he led hazard, vulnerability, and capacity assessments (HVCA), Implementation Research (IR), Gender Analysis, Environment and Social Management Plan (ESMP) and strengthened local institutions in disaster preparedness and resilience building. With a strong background in research, monitoring and evaluation, and social impact assessments (SIA), Mahdy specializes in mobilizing communities, facilitating participatory approaches, and ensuring inclusive development outcomes.

With a strong commitment to data accuracy and organizational efficiency, she ensures the smooth operation of administrative functions within the project. Her responsibilities include: Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of project activities. Systematically organizing and managing both qualitative and quantitative data from reports. Facilitating effective planning, monitoring, and communication by ensuring data accessibility. Supporting insightful analysis and informed decision-making through well-structured data management. Sreeja’s methodical approach to data handling and her dedication to operational excellence contribute significantly to the effectiveness and impact of the RIVER Project.

Admin & Accounts Officer
Manir Hossain has 5 years of experience in Admin & Accounts. Serves as the Admin & Accounts for the CEMRCB (Community Engagement, Mobilization, Resilience, and Capacity Building) component of the RIVER Project. With a strong commitment to 14 District accuracy and organizational efficiency, he ensures the smooth operation of Admin & Accounts functions within the project. Him responsibilities include: Maintaining accurate Petty cash management. Daily banking correspondence/requirement. Data entry, make journal entries, post on Ledger, Trail Balance, Make Income Statement and Financial statement. Check bill voucher and TA Bill. Make payment of 14 district Office rent & petty cash others. Make time sheet of the RIVER Project. keep update day to day Received income and expenses by spreadsheet. contribute significantly to the effectiveness and impact of the RIVER Project.
